Sofia Paraskeva

Sofia Paraskeva is an interactive designer who specializes on the intersection of sound and visuals in the context of leading edge technology. Using tools such as MAX/MSP/Jitter she designs visual and aural narratives for interactive installations. Her work spans across interactive art and design, visual effects design, graphic design, motion graphics, video production and experimental sound. She is currently involved in projects that use computer vision technologies such as the Kinect and custom-made wearable interfaces such as wireless gloves and bodysuits. She has presented her projects at the Guggenheim, the Met, The New York Hall of Science, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and the Queens Museum of Art. Sofia is a graduate of ITP.
