Dana Karwas and Gabe Winer

Dana Karwas and Gabe Winer are co-founders of The Satellite, a live, photo-realistic experience of Earth from space, created purely from satellite data. For the first time, public audiences will be able to look down upon the planet as if they are looking out of a window in the International Space Station. Dana holds a Masters from The Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, with a focus on integrating media into architectural spaces. She is a Lecturer of Integrated Digital Media at NYU. Gabe holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Yale University, and he also studied cultural anthropology at Goldsmiths College, University of London and received a master’s degree from ITP (NYU Tisch). He teaches courses on digital imaging at NYU Engineering's Integrated Digital Media Program.
