Matt Richard is an artist, programmer, teacher at ITP, open processing member, Arduino programmer, and a 2010 graduate of ITP. His thesis project at left, Estrella Intersects the Plane, is a "living colorfield painting" made of wood, aluminum, servos, LEDs,and controllers. He is interested in elevating the place of generative art in the art community by creating works that demand to be seen. The work he is most interested in uses light to create patterns that create a visual experience for the viewer. According to his LinkedIn profile, Matt is adept at AS3, Java, C++, Adobe Suite, Rhino, OpenFrameworks, Processing, Arduino, Physical Computing, Fabrication, Rapid Prototyping, Interactive Installations, and Carpentry.
