Perry Bard

Perry Bard works individually and collaboratively on interdisciplinary projects for public space. She has exhibited video and installations internationally at MoMA, Scanners Video Festival, PS 1 Museum, Reina Sofia Museum Madrid, Frac des Pays de la Loire, Sao Paolo Biennial, VideoBrasil, MOCA Georgia, Cinema Rex Belgrade, 25th Viper Basel Switzerland, and more. She has created site specific public video installations for the Staten Island Ferry Terminal Building in New York and for Market Square in Middlesbrough UK. Her current web and public space project 2008: Man With A Movie Camera is a participatory global remake of Vertov’s 1929 classic; a website at http://dziga.perrybard.net contains a scene index and shot list where people can upload footage to become part of a worldwide montage. Her work is featured in Digital Currents: Art in the Electronic Age by Margot Lovejoy, and has been reviewed in Artforum, Art in America, Flash Art, Lapiz, Springerin, The New Art Examiner.
